QUOTES ABOUT
GIVING

"We ourselves feel that what we are doing is just a drop in the ocean. But the ocean would be less because of that missing drop."
"
If you can't feed a hundred people, then feed just one."
"It is not the magnitude of our actions but the amount of love that is put into them that matters."

All from MOTHER TERESA

"Each time someone stands up for an ideal, or acts to improve the lot of others, or strikes out against injustice he sends forth a tiny ripple of hope."  Robert F. Kennedy

"This only is charity: to do all, all that we can."  John Donne.

"What do we live for, if it is not to make life less difficult for each other."  George Eliot

"What we give to the poor is what we carry with us when we die." Peter Marin

"This country will not be a good place for any of us to live in unless we make it a good place for all of us to live in."  Theodore Roosevelt.

"People think that if they were rich they would contribute to charities.  My experience has been if you don't start giving ... when you have very little, you won't do it when you get a lot."  Robert Bainum

"We are rich only by what we give, and poor only through what we refuse."  Anne Swetchine
